Christians Belief:
Easter also termed as “Jesus’ Resurrection Day!”, is a Christans’ religious occasion. Christians believe that Christ Jesus died for our sins. Then he was again raised from death to life on the cross on the third day after his death. The reason for celebrating this day is to remember that Jesus died for us, to get our sins be forgiven, came back and He is now waiting for us in Heaven. The ones who trust this belief will be given place in Paradise with Him.
What Bible Says:
According to Bible (The Holy Book of Christians),
He himself carried our sins in his body on the cross. He did it so that we would die as far as sins are concerned. Then we would lead godly lives. His wounds have made you whole” (1 Peter 2:24).
“Give praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us a new birth and a hope that is alive. It is alive because Jesus Christ rose from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3).
“God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life” (John 3:16).
The Holy Week:
The week just before the Easter day is termed as Holy Week. One is Holy Thursday which commemorates Jesus last meal and its preceding Washing of the feet. Another is Holy Friday which commemorates the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. On Sunday, that is the third day after Jesus Christ’s death, Christians celebrate Easter day.
The Original Meaning Of Easter:
Easter is the celebration of Jesus rising to the heaven. It is the foundation of the religion Christianity. It reminds all the Christians of their calling in heaven and their open relation with God through His Son Jesus Christ.
Easter Celebrations:
All the Christians of the world celebrate Easter with great zeal and zest. They decorate the churches with flowers, candle lights and church ring bells. People get new spring clothes for this special event, decorate eggs and participate in Easter eggs where eggs are hidden by Easter bunny. Easter baskets full of candies and snacks are also presented. For Easter Food, the best choice is to go for picnic with cold fried chicken. Its very delicious and is considered as the main Easter food. Celebrate your Easter day with your friends and loved ones.
